Healthy Francophone and Acadian communities: Call for proposals 2010-2013

The Conseil communauté en santé du Manitoba, jointly with The Société Santé en français, and it 16 other regional, provincial and territorial French-language health networks, is pleased to issue this call for project proposals for the period 2010-2013 targeting the health of Francophone and Acadian minority communities.

Since its creation in 2002, the Société Santé en français and its affiliated networks have supported over one hundred initiatives that have helped provide Francophones in minority communities with better access to quality health services.

Thanks to recent funding obtained from Health Canada under the Official Languages Health Contribution Program, the Société and the networks are able to continue their work and consolidate the efforts invested over the past several years.

You will find attached two documents that constitute the basic tools for this call for proposals:

  • The document “Parameters for the Development and Submission of Projects” (November 30, 2009) sets out all the information required of project promoters;
  • The supporting document “Forms and tool kit for the development and submission of projects” (November 30, 2009) will assist promoters in preparing their projects.

The deadline for submitting proposals to the Conseil communauté en santé du Manitoba is Monday, February 8, 2010 at 5:00 pm (EST). If possible, we would prefer to be advised of your intention to submit a proposal through a letter of intention by January 7, 2010.

The Conseil communauté en santé du Manitoba will play a key role in analysing and prioritizing the proposed projects, which will ensure these are closely aligned with community needs, the actions undertaken in the field, and the networks’ respective priorities.

For further information, we invite you to contact Dominique Philibert at (204) 235-3903 or by e-mail at  .

We look forward to your involvement in this process designed to improve the health of Francophone minority communities.
