Dietitian
YOUR JOB is to plan, conduct and supervise diet food service programs and provide nutrition counseling/consulting services. Dietitians also conduct research to improve the nutritional value, taste, appearance and preparation of food, and may specialize in different areas such as clinical, community or research dietetics, public health, food service administration and industry.
YOU CAN WORK IN clinics, community health centres and hospitals in private practice and as consultants to business.
YOUR EDUCATION INCLUDES completion of Senior 4 with course requirements to enter University; Human Ecology degree majoring in Foods and Nutrition from a university (usually four years) plus one-year internship after graduation.
