Health Care Aide/Home Care Attendant

YOUR JOB is to assist nurses, hospital staff and physicians in the basic care of patients; based on the Case Coordinator’s care plan. Additional tasks include: answering call signals, supplying and emptying bed pans, dressing and grooming patients, serving meal trays and feeding patients. As well as making beds, maintaining patients’ rooms and moving patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.

YOU CAN WORK IN hospitals, nursing homes, other health care facilities and in client’s homes.

YOUR EDUCATION INCLUDES completion of Senior 4 with course requirements to enter program. A certificate from a recognized Health Care Aide Training program.

Average salary: 

$14.86 per hour
