Nurse
YOUR JOB is to care for patients of all ages, in connection with other members of the health care team. Your role is broad and includes promotion of health, prevention of illness, alleviation of suffering, restoration of health and maximum development of health potential.
YOU CAN WORK IN hospitals, nursing homes, community health centres, clinics, doctors’ offices, private homes, private agencies, rehabilitation centres, extended care facilities and industry.
YOUR EDUCATION INCLUDES completion of Senior 4 with course requirements to enter program. Completion of a university or college nursing program (Degree: 4 years; Diploma: 3 years or 23 consecutive months). Additional academic training or experience is required to specialize in a specific area of nursing.
