Pharmacist
YOUR JOB is to dispense medications to patients as prescribed by doctors, check patients histories to guard against possible drug complications and council patients on correct use of medication including dosage and possible side-effects. You may also oversee the work performed by pharmacy technicians and/or perform management duties. You may specialize in areas such as pediatrics, oncology, critical care and bone marrow transplants.
YOU CAN WORK IN hospitals, long term care facilities, clinics and retail pharmacies.
YOUR EDUCATION INCLUDES completion of Senior 4 with course requirements to enter University plus a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (5 years).
