YOUR JOB is to provide primary medical care to individuals, either in general practice or in one of numerous areas of medical specialization. Your work includes examining and diagnosing patients, treating illnesses and disease and counseling patients.
YOU CAN WORK IN hospitals, medical clinics, government, private practice and industry within urban, rural and northern settings.
YOUR EDUCATION INCLUDES completion of Senior 4 with course requirements to enter program. Completion of undergraduate degree or prerequisite courses that include Physics, Genetics, Microbiology and Physiology, an undergraduate Medical degree [MD] (4 years) and completion of a residency post-graduate program (2 – 5+ years).
